Conservation
Our commitment to conservation
Protecting Africa’s wildlife through education, preservation and protection.

The conservation fee
A R30 conservation fee is included in the price of every activity, and a 3% conservation levy applies to restaurant sales. Every rand goes to habitat restoration, rehabilitation and research, not to day-to-day operations.
Our conservation initiatives
Biodiversity awareness
Guided tours and conservation talks that show how animals, plants and habitats depend on each other.
Conservation education
School programmes, educational tours and interpretive content built on ethical wildlife welfare.
Research & wildlife monitoring
Support for local and international studies of behaviour, genetics and species health, using tagging, observation and health screenings.
Community & youth development
Youth outreach, conservation mentorships and partnerships with neighbouring communities.
Why was the conservation fee introduced?
To fund our conservation work directly: habitat restoration, rehabilitation, research and community programmes.
Where does the money go?
Into conservation projects only, not the park’s day-to-day operations.
How much is it?
R30 per activity, already included in the price, plus a 3% conservation levy on restaurant sales.
How do you stay transparent?
We share updates on the projects the fee supports on this website and on our social media.
Will the fee increase?
There are no immediate plans to change it.
